When I was in preschool there was this really weird system of time-out where they’d put you in this giant plastic bucket sort of like this one:
And the rule was you couldn’t leave the bucket for ten minutes.
In case you didn’t know, I was what the teachers referred to as a “difficult child” which is code for “walking entity of sass” so I was in the time-out bucket quite a bit.
Once they put me in the bucket for thirty minutes— and I thought that was incredibly unfair so I grabbed the handles and shifted my body repeatedly until the bucket and I were out of the classroom, in the hallway, and through the front door. They found me in the parking lot scooting to freedom in the time-out bucket. The teachers were furious and I said, “Hey, I never left the bucket”
So they called my mum and told her what I did and she just said, “Well, he never left the bucket.”
I haven’t laughed so hard in ages

okay i think we need to set some ground rules for people going to darren’s concerts because common decency and conduct seems to completely escape some people’s minds at these kinds of events
- if you have never been to a concert before or just a general admission concert you are going to have no room so please be nice and do not push or shove and be polite to others and say please and thank you just like your parents taught you
- IF YOU SEE SOMEONE SHORTER THAN YOU STANDING BEHIND YOU FOR GOD’S SAKE LET THEM STAND IN FRONT OF YOU BECAUSE YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO SEE
- please do not start a starkid singalong while standing in line. i have no clue why but there are always people who think starkid singalongs are okay during the most inappropriate moments (for example there were people who did it in Barnes and Nobles during Chris Colfer’s book signing i mean seriously i was about to apply for a gun license)
- TRY TO LEAVE BEHIND AS MUCH OF YOUR FANDOM CRAZY AS POSSIBLE this is not a tumblr meet-up and it is not tumblr con. a lot of tumblr people will be there, yes, and you can hang out with your tumblr friends but this is a darren concert so don’t bring your 1219239012830 other tv shows with you
- please just be nice to short people they did not choose to be this short please make their lives a little easier
- if i see anything about ships (posters, tshirts, wristbands) i swear i am not in any position to make threats but i hope you feel very sorry about it
- IF YOU HAVE THE FORTUNE TO MEET DARREN DON’T ASK HIM ABOUT SHIPS (whether they are real life or fictional) AND DON’T ASK HIM FANDOM QUESTIONS GOD THAT IS JUST EMBARRASSING
- if something wrong happens (show starting late, ticket/VIP confusion, etc) please just go with the flow and don’t go on bitching about poor management because you are lucky to even be at a darren show
- just please please please don’t start a starkid singalong i am begging you guys i honestly don’t understand why i need to ask this
